Pobiedna is a small village located at the foot of the Izera Mountains, featuring a picturesque park with an 18th-century palace designed by Konrad Gotthelf Rothe, a court architect from Dresden. Since 1982, the building has remained unused. According to a new redevelopment concept, it is to be transformed into a luxurious hotel with recreational and conference facilities. Our primary idea was to integrate these functions into the historic layout in a way that preserves the palace as the dominant element of the complex, while additional buildings harmoniously complement the existing arrangement. We therefore planned them along a transverse axis to the palace, ensuring that the connection to the historic building is limited to an underground level. The accompanying hotel buildings were situated within the park, maintaining the historical axis that links the garden, palace, and park. Additionally, we proposed a radial arrangement of "cottages" – hotel units inspired by the form of traditional huts. Each unit, accommodating several rooms, is oriented with its gable facing the center of the layout – the palace. This redevelopment concept combines respect for history and heritage architecture with modern solutions, creating a unique destination with the potential to become one of the region's key attractions.
